Donna Tartt is a Pulitzer Prize winner author who received the prestigious award in the year 2014 for her exemplary work in fiction genre: in that specific year, for the novel titled The Goldfinch. The book also made it to the coveted list of New York Times bestsellers list, right in its first week after being published.

Tartt is known to be a very meticulous writer who takes a long time to release her novels. This approach based on research and patience is visible in her works as well. It took her eleven years to write and publish The Goldfinch.

Riding high on the success of Half a Yellow Sun, she followed with another book recognised as a New York Times bestseller, titled Americanah. Eleanor Catton broke onto the scene at the age of just 22 years when she published her first work, The Rehearsal, which won her several accolades. She later followed it with The Luminaries in the year 2013 that contributed to her receiving the prestigious Man Booker Prize. She is the youngest author to have won that award. She is a fiction author.

At the age of 25, she became another young achiever who broke onto the literary scene with her work Breath, Eyes, Memory, and was loved by the critics. In the year 1998, her book was chosen for the Oprah’s Book Club Selection.

She is also active in fiction, non-fiction and documentary film making.
